Black-Clad Cube Sauna with Corner Glass

The details

A black cube beside the pool

This sauna stands close against the side wall of a stucco house, on a pale concrete base at the edge of a stone-paved pool patio. The box is clad in horizontal boards finished black, with a raised, textured grain that shows through the finish. Black trim runs along the top edge, with the wavy edge of a corrugated roof sheet just showing above it.

The front pairs a small window with a full-height glass door on black hinges and a D-shaped pull. Around the corner, a tall glass panel fills most of the side wall, facing the benches, so you look out across the patio from your seat.

Inside the room

The walls and ceiling are knotty tongue-and-groove boards in a pale wood, over a wide plank wood floor. A two-tier bench runs along the long wall: sit up high for the most heat, lower down for a gentler round. At the far end, a compact electric heater with a stone basket and knob controls sits in a wood guard.

Built to your size

We build this layout to your footprint. Your sauna is priced by floor area at a standard 7-foot ceiling — enter your length and depth on this page to see the price, then add it to your cart with upgrades and installation. The glass, the cladding finish and the bench layout can all change to suit your space.
