Buying guide

Choosing your sauna

Three decisions, in the order that matters: where it goes, how big it needs to be, and what it is made of. Getting it to you, anywhere in Florida, is our job.

  1. Outdoor, indoor or on wheels

Start with where it goes. An outdoor sauna needs a level pad and reads as a small structure, which is worth confirming with your HOA before you order; a roof overhang or a covered patio buys you shade and a dry entry. An indoor room lives inside the house you already heat and cool — a bathroom, a garage corner, a spare room — and needs a moisture-tolerant floor and a dedicated 220 V circuit on a 50-amp breaker. A trailer build goes wherever you tow it.

The heat is traditional: a 9 kW electric heater loaded with stones in our fixed saunas, a wood-burning stove in some of the trailer builds, and water on the stones whenever you want the room to change character.

  2. What size you actually need

Buy for the number of people who will realistically be in there at once, not the number at your biggest party. Two adults need about 4 linear feet of upper bench; four need about 6; more than that means a second tier or benches down two walls. Oversizing costs you twice — a bigger price, since custom builds are priced by floor area, and a longer warmup every session, since every electric build runs the same 9 kW heater.

Our standard models carry their price on their own page. Custom builds are priced by floor area at our standard 7-foot ceiling: enter the length and depth on the build’s page and you see the price for that size, with any upgrades and installation added as you choose them, before it goes in your cart. If you would rather have the figure in writing first, the quote page and every build video email it to you. Either way, delivery is in 7 to 10 business days from the day we confirm your specification.

  3. Cedar, boards and what goes outside

Western red cedar is the traditional interior for good reason: it is dimensionally stable in heat and humidity, stays comfortable against bare skin at full heat, and resists rot without any chemical treatment. Each build page names the wood we can confirm, and we will tell you what any other build is lined with. Outside, the cladding is a design decision as much as a technical one — pale boards, painted panel siding or charred black — and we will tell you plainly how each one weathers in Florida sun and salt. Every sauna on this page was built by our own crew.

  4. Delivery, installation and power

Every sauna is delivered and installed by our own crew, anywhere in Florida from the Panhandle to the Keys — Pensacola, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Sarasota, Naples, Miami and everywhere between. There is no curbside drop and no kit to put together: you choose the installation service as you configure your sauna, a standard model or a custom build alike.

Electrical work is not included. We don’t run circuits or connect the heater to your electrical line — that needs a licensed electrician, hired by you, to run a dedicated 220 V circuit on a 50-amp breaker and make the connection. We send your electrician the heater’s spec sheet and take their call if they want to walk through it.
