Glass-Front Sauna with Red-Stained Deck

The details

A glass front under a deep porch

This cabin looks out through a large glass front. The glass sits back under a deep roof overhang carried on two dark red-stained posts. The single-slope roof has white flashing and a red-stained fascia, and light wood boards line the underside of the porch. Light wood boards frame the glass, the side walls are cream-painted panel siding, and a wide red-stained deck sits on the lawn in front.

You enter through a frameless glass door in the side wall. It has a long round wooden bar pull and opens onto a small red-stained step.

Inside the room

Knotty tongue-and-groove boards run vertically on the walls and across the ceiling. Two bench tiers line the back wall and face the glass front. The upper tier has a slatted backrest set in front of a long horizontal window strip. A compact electric heater sits low in the corner by the door.
