Tan Panel Sauna with Open Shower Bay

The details

A sauna and a shower under one roof

This build pairs a glass-front sauna room with an open-front shower bay, both under a single-slope roof with a deep front overhang. Recessed downlights sit in the soffit, a black drip edge finishes the roofline, and the walls are painted vertical-groove panel siding with light wood trim at the corners and door.

The sauna front is fully glazed: a fixed full-height glass panel beside a glass door with a long matte-black bar handle. Next to it, the shower bay has cream panel walls, a wood plank floor and a matte black shower column with an overhead head, so you can rinse off the moment you step out of the heat.

Inside the sauna room

Knotty, pale tongue-and-groove boards run vertically on the walls and across the ceiling, over a wide-plank wood floor. L-shaped two-tier benches wrap the back and side walls, built from plank tops on simple leg supports. A floor-standing electric heater with an open stone basket stands by the door inside a wood guard rail.
